Impact World Outreach Events start today in Southern Johnson County, Kansas!
Team Extreme, Island Breeze and GX International started doing school assemblies on Monday to get the word out and the Impact Johnson County events start today! This afternoon there is an outreach at Calvary Chapel Kansas City right accross the street from from Blue Valley North High School where one of the GX International events will take place this Saturday, October 3rd. Today at 2:30 GX International will be in the church parking lot with break dance and hip hop to reach out to the kids from that High School and promote the upcoming event. Pray that the kids will be excited to go to the event and spread the news! Also that they will be receptive to the Gospel!
Tonight Team Extreme kicks off the tour with a show in Spring Hill, Kansas. Bill is busy helping with the load in and set up for that event this morning and he is overseeing most of the logistical aspects for the outreaches that will be taking place over the next three weeks. I will probably be spending most of my time in the prayer rooms that are set aside to pray during the events.
Please be praying for us, all the teams and everyone involved in working and organizing these events! We are expecting tens of thousand to hear the Gospel and to see thousands of people surrender their lives to Jesus during these events and there is plenty of spiritual warfare that goes along with that! We need your prayers and are very thankful for them!
I also wanted to let you know that I am working on a website to help share the Gospel with the fine arts ministry that God has put on my heart. It is a work in progress but please take a look at genesis1-1art.org. I would appreciate your prayers as I continue to work on developing this ministry. I have had "Open Studio" days over the last several months were I have people over to our home just to do art together. They have been small groups but God is bringing the poeple that need to be there. The Open Studios have been a time to see God work as we draw, paint and fellowship together. I have a couple of "regulars" now. One young lady from church, Brittany who has special needs loves to come and draw creative patterns and a teenage girl, Karyn, from the area where we live who loves to draw and paint people with a very unique style. Karyn has expressed that it is a peaceful place to be and I have been blessed to be able to pray with her about some life situations. I am excited to see God continue to work in the Open Studio and to see who else He brings to the group.
I have also been trying to get out in the community and connect with artists in the area. Recently I did the Brush Creek Art Walk here in Kansas City. I completed two paintings on location over the weekend which will be displayed at the Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center (4750 Troost Ave., Kansas City MO 64110) thoughout the month. There is a reception on Tuesday, Oct. 6th from 5-8pm. If you're in the Kansas City area I would love it if you could come by! It has been a fun experience and a great way to meet a lot of artists in the area!
Thank you for your prayers and friendship! We appreciate you and would also love to hear from you!
