Three weeks in Juarez, Mexico and
One week in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In 2015 a man named Dale prayed for me and Julia. We didn’t know him but he wanted to pray for us because of our roles on GX International. Dale said we would be going to Mexico and taking our ministries there. Then he added, “It could also be in New Mexico too”. New Mexico sounded more appropriate for us because Julia’s family lives there. But here we are now in 2017 with already accomplishing multiple trips to Mexico and even making trips to New Mexico specifically for new outreach opportunities.
Genesis 1-1 Fine Arts Ministry was able to do a full “Days of Creation Workshop” in Juarez at the Hogar de Ninos Emmanuel school. It was a great experience! There were some really talented kids and it was amazing to see the artwork they came up with by seeking the Lord for inspiration for each day of creation. One of Julia’s favorite time’s was being able to teach the older art students (11-13 years old) how to draw faces. The kids were really worried because they thought it would be too hard but once they started drawing together with some step by step instructions they gained the confidence that they could do it. It was great to help them move forward in the giftings that God has given them. On the workshop for day 7 all 6 days were presented as a gallery to the entire school and Julia wrapped it up by presenting the Gospel of Jesus.
On this trip to Juarez we were blessed to work alongside of Team Xtreme, Untitled Skate, GX International and of course our own Genesis 1-1 Art. Bill was able to set up sound and run tech for these teams in several various situations and at every event we preached the Gospel of Jesus. Some of the places we went to include:
Elementary Schools
High Schools
Boarding Schools
After School Programs
Community Parks
Churches
Texas State Prison
Mexico State Prison
Streets
Every single day we went to multiple places and witnessed many miracles both physical and spiritual. If I (Bill) had to pick a favorite place on this outreach I think it would be the Mexican Prison. They had a beautiful church inside with an outstanding worship team and many Godly men proclaiming the Truth of Jesus to others inside. To make it short, the warden gave his life fully over to Jesus! There was a lot leading into that so get in touch with me if you want more details.
Our next stop is back to the inner parts of Kansas City. It seems that we’ve opened up a good can of Jesus down there and May 27th (Global Outreach Day) will be the huge launch for the summer activities. Eight events on the same day! All in different parts of the city! Contact me if you want to help with logistics or evangelism.
For this issue we will be sharing lots of photos. Enjoy.
