The past seven months has been very exciting. Many new opportunities have rose up just proving that God has us in the right place. In April we signed a lease to rent a home. Above is a picture of our niece Madilynn. This is the first home-of-our own together. We were able to have a garden and grow our own vegetables. To this date we are still eating fresh organically grown vegetables every day.
In April I was in Columbia County, Oregon to do the light/sound tech for GX International. Many blessings came from working with the volunteers out there. Isaac was one. He did a great job setting up sound and actually ran all the event nights with his sound equipment. I was able to pray with him a few times and before the tour was over he had given his life to Jesus!
Then in May, Julia and I had already partnered with a local church. I helped them organize an outreach at a park close to our new home. Julia brought her stuff and did face paintings. By the end of the day 68 new souls were added to HIS Glorious Kingdom!
Over the summer I enrolled in a class called City Impact Intensive. This was ran by YWAMKC (Youth With A Mission Kansas City). I learned much more about coordinating evangelistic campaigns to take on cities, counties, regions and countries with the Gospel of Jesus. It was so refreshing to be taught by leaders who have been doing this type of work for over forty years with people like Billy Graham.
The City Impact classes have landed me in yet another ministry called Impact World Tour ( a ministry of YWAM). We are currently engaging with cities like Kennesaw, GA, Olathe, KS, and the Chesapeake Bay area. Wow, it is a lot of work, a lot of hours, but a lot of fun. I love it and I know it's because I'm doing what God has been calling me to do for years. This past year I have finally started following HIS orders and life is good!
Hi, Julia here to add just a bit. I am continuing to work with Calvary Chapel Kansas City in the church office and feel really blessed to be able to do so. We have been settling into our new church home building with lots of changes / challenges and things are going well. Bill and I are also settling in and getting more organized in our new own. Bill has made a small shop in the garage so that we can refinish furniture to sell. Our first project is an old antique desk (almost done). I am enjoying painting it and learning the process of different techniques for finishing. I also have my own art room to do paintings inside. I have started a few projects and continue to pray for ways that God can use this gift that HE has given me. The biggest thing is time! I find it difficult to find the time to do all the things I would like to do. Daily I am asking God for wisdom to do just what HE will have me do each day and I know that HE will be faithful. Please continue to pray for us. And please let us know how we can pray for you! We would really like to hear from everyone of you.
If you would like to support us financially you can do so online at l3international, or you can mail a check made out to GX International. Include a separate note: "for Bill & Julia Otterness". GX/L3 International
