So far, this year has been amazing. Our GX International staff office here in Kansas City has been completely redone with new leaders, ideas and plans for the future. Even the local team, GXKC has been going through the same changes. All this while we were setting up for the PURE JOY Gallery Event. This is the second year that Genesis 1:1 Fine Art has hosted this. Julia and I put in many hours and battled the challenges of weather. The team we put together for this was incredible and Godly. No one backed down. We even loaded in all the staging and sound equipment during a blizzard. God honored all of that and gave us the best event yet. The food was amazing and in abundance. Over 20 Christian artist paintings were on display February 16th . The performing arts stage was full of an all-star lineup. One attendee said she was so moved by the Holy Spirit during the performances that when a violin piece was performed she was brought to tears. The entire evening was filled with testimonies like this and they’re still coming in. At the end of the evening the Gospel of Jesus was presented and 3 young men came forward to accept Jesus as their savior. We are already being asked to begin next year’s Genesis 1:1 Gallery Event.
Julia and I are headed to Mexico at the end of March, but not before we have one more Genesis 1:1 Art show at MidAmerican Nazarene University (MNU) as they partner with KC Art’s Mission to help fundraise. In Mexico, I have it set up for GX International to do school assemblies and evening outreaches in the border towns of Acuna and Jimenez. We will be able to share testimonies and preach everywhere we go, even the schools.
After Mexico we will cross back to the Texas side and I will begin meetings to set up for future campaigns. We will also be blessed to visit Mommy Slaughter, Julia’s 103 year-old grandmother in Weslaco, TX.
Global Outreach Day is Saturday, May 25th. This day is set aside every year to see what it would look like if every Christian shared the Gospel of Jesus with at least one person that day. I am currently setting up events to canvas the entire Ruskin Heights neighborhood here in South Kansas City for G.O.D. Thanks to our new GX coordinator, I’ve been able to work on this while other outreaches are going on almost every week. Even on this day as I write, an outreach is about to happen later this afternoon. The dancers will dance, testimonies will be shared and the gospel will be preached. Salvation will come to people this day. I will wait to get pictures before sending this out.
Julia and I have been receiving new vision for our ministry work. Pretty much everything we are involved with is expanding and some days it seems like we’re doing everything we can to keep up. Especially, with the Genesis 1:1 Art. One right after another, Julia has seen fulfillment of visions within the art ministry. Now we are both looking into the future of Genesis 1:1 with great expectations. We encourage you to keep this ministry in prayer along with these prayer needs:
