"Learn how GOD is using Bill & Julia through HIS Arts"
On Christmas Eve in Santa Fe, New Mexico, people gather to walk up and down Canyon Road just off of their town plaza. Open fires are scattered along the road and side streets. Julia and I got into this tradition as we went caroling with our friend, Karen Lafferty, on guitar. We walked to different fires singing songs about Jesus' birth. People were getting teary eyed by the experience. For many it was the first time they had really looked at the lyrics and sang worship songs about Jesus. I heard one girl say to the other, “I thought I knew the words.” and the other responded “We don’t know the words because it’s about Jesus”
In Ruskin Heights at team of YWAM missionaries from Spain decided to join us.
They were not expecting the community to be in the condition it was and they had fear. Soon God overcame their fear so we walked & prayed and came across a women that had been kicked out of her home by her daughter. She was a complete wreck so the Spain team took courage to comfort her in prayer and play worship music. She was reconciled to her daughter and placed back inside the home.
We are currently preparing for another huge gallery event right here in Kansas City! It’s called “Pure Joy” and will be from 4-8pm on Feb. 16th. There will be tons of fine art and performing artist throughout the whole evening. Busy, busy. Then, Mid-American Nazarene College has also asked Genesis 1:1 back to show art at the Prolepsis KC Art Performance Fundraiser on March 24th. Julia has had lots of great feedback concerning the ministry so we’re looking to see Genesis 1:1 go bigger in 2019.
An Open Dance Audition is scheduled for Saturday, January 26th with GXKC (Global Xpressions Kansas City). Julia is continuing her work as she leads out a new season of dancers for this local ministry. I am privileged to set up all these outreaches. As a coordinator, I also get called to other places to set up outreaches for the GX International team so there is much prayer needed there. I am scheduled to be at outreaches in Orlando, FL, Acuna, Mexico and Tanzania, Africa.
David and Megan Nam have recently joined the staff. David is helping with break dance instruction and Megan wants to learn how to be a coordinator. I am excited to train her as a coordinator. This is a huge blessing to have another person to help with outreaches. There’s a lot going on and we’re only a couple of weeks into the new year. Julia and I are requesting prayers for time management to respect all that God has given to us with these ministry assignments.
In today’s information world we are compelled to stay up to date with the times.
Julia and I have created websites, facebook groups, youtube channels and the more traditional emails and newsletters. We choose to create these forums to share what God is doing and give opportunities to hear from you.
